The Odysseia ensemble & Bart Verheyen

Flemish Masters in Situ concert in Schaarbeek
Vlaamse Meesters in Situ concert Schaarbeek

On 13 June, the Dutch Culture department of Schaarbeek is organising a concert with classical music by the Odysseia ensemble.
What was founded by a number of ex-students of the Royal Conservatoire in Brussels in 2009 has since grown into the Odysseia Ensemble - unexpectedly classic -, one of Belgium’s most versatile chamber music orchestras. The wonderful cycle of Messiaen, which shows off the organ in all its colourful glory, virtuosity and meditation, is brilliantly matched with the Annunciation by Bingham and Boeckhorst (the start and end of Christ’s life on earth), and will be complemented beautifully by the Litanies of French 20th-century composer Jehan Alain.
Organist Bart Verheyen will perform a piece for organ to bring the listener into the atmosphere.
